Alex Kim spent over a decade in product engineering at some of Seattle tech scene best-known companies before leaving to pursue a mission closer to his heart. After one too many bad experiences with unreliable pet sitters found through generic platforms, he set out to build something purpose-built for pet care.
PawPal launched in 2022 with a small cohort of Seattle providers and a waitlist of eager pet owners. Within six months, the platform had served over a thousand bookings and earned a reputation as the most trusted pet care app in the Pacific Northwest.
